  • ADHD affects the set of mental skills called “executive function”. These skills include (but are not limited to): focus, organization, emotional regulation, and follow-through. When those tasks become a struggle, it’s easy to feel like you’re the problem. You’re not. ADHD-like symptoms and executive dysfunction can come from stress, sleep issues, nutrient gaps, or gut-brain imbalance.

  • ADHD itself begins in childhood, but many adults aren't diagnosed until later. Many adults have learned to compensate for years. 

    ADHD is real, and for many people, it's the right diagnosis. An important differentiator: Not everyone who struggles to focus has ADHD. It's also possible to experience ADHD-like symptoms later in life from other causes, such as hormone shifts, chronic stress, or changes in dopamine. Testing and evaluation clarify what's actually going on so we can discover what’s contributing to how you feel.
