Meet Our Founder | Jessica Kettell, PMHNP-BC
Hi, I’m Jessica—board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and founder of Grounded Psychiatry. I have a deep passion for helping women reconnect with their bodies, feel like themselves again, and find real healing. Because I’ve been there myself.
For much of my life, peace felt just out of reach. Years of chronic stress and unresolved trauma kept my nervous system locked in survival mode. In March 2020, while working in the ICU, I had my first panic attack, then another. I was exhausted, burned out, and overwhelmed. I didn’t feel like myself.
Even though I was just a year away from completing my psychiatry program, I didn’t yet know how to stop my symptoms without medication. Like many others, I reached out to a psychiatrist, but the earliest available appointment was three months away. I knew I couldn’t wait that long.
That moment changed everything.
I became obsessed with understanding what was actually happening in my brain and body and how to heal it at the root. I dove deep into neuroscience, functional medicine, and integrative psychiatry. By the time my appointment arrived, I didn’t need it. My panic attacks were gone, and I had done it all without medication.
That was my turning point. It became my mission.
I later trained with Dr. James Greenblatt, one of the leading functional medicine psychiatrists in the country. I combined his mentorship with years of self-study, clinical experience, and lived healing. That’s how Grounded Psychiatry was born.
Today, I support women who feel stuck, numbed, dismissed, or unsure where to turn, especially those who want to safely reduce or stop medications and haven’t found a provider who understands. We take a thoughtful, root-cause approach, combining advanced lab testing, genetic insights, nervous system repair, and true partnership to help you feel better, for good.
I dedicate hours each week to studying the latest science in psychiatry, nutrition, and whole-person healing so you don’t have to.
I’ve been where you are. And I know how life-changing the right support can be.
That’s what we offer here.
You deserve more than symptom management.
You deserve a plan that honors your story and helps you come back to yourself.

Meet Rachel Robilio, PMHNP-BC
I’m so excited to introduce Rachel Robilio — the newest provider on our team. Rachel trained under me for a full year, and I can genuinely say she’s one of the most thoughtful, grounded, and compassionate clinicians I’ve had the privilege to work with.
She shares my deep commitment to whole-person care — the kind that looks beyond symptoms to understand the full picture. Her calm presence, clinical insight, and lived experience make her an incredible support for the people she works with.
Rachel’s path to mental health care started nearly eight years ago as a critical care nurse. It was there she witnessed how emotional and physical healing are deeply connected — and how often traditional care overlooks the person behind the chart. Through her own life transitions, she developed a heart for helping others feel seen, supported, and safe to heal.
Originally from Memphis, Rachel moved to Atlanta in 2021 and recently earned her Master’s degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama. She brings a blend of clinical excellence, resilience, and humanity to every session.
Rachel works with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, trauma, and major life transitions. She believes healing doesn’t happen in a rush — it happens when we feel safe, understood, and fully supported. That’s what she offers every client she meets.
While she understands the role medication can play, Rachel believes in getting to the root — using a personalized, holistic lens to uncover what’s really going on beneath the surface. Her goal is to help you reconnect with yourself, rebuild your inner safety, and feel more like you again.
Rachel is here to walk alongside you with calm, clarity, and compassion — so you don’t have to carry it all alone.
She is licensed in Oregon and currently accepting new clients.
