Functional & Integrative Psychiatry Expert

Hi, I’m Jessica, a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and founder of Grounded Psychiatry, a virtual functional and integrative mental health practice serving clients in Atlanta, Vinings, Johns Creek, Cumming, Roswell, Alpharetta, and across Georgia, Washington, Montana, Nevada, Alaska, and Hawaii.

I help high-functioning adults struggling with anxiety, depression, insomnia, burnout, or medication side effects find clarity, calm, and lasting relief with or without medication. My passion for this work is deeply personal.

For years, peace and happiness felt just out of reach. Chronic stress and unresolved trauma kept my nervous system stuck in survival mode. During the pandemic, while working in the ICU, I hit rock bottom. I was exhausted, burned out, and overwhelmed. The earliest psychiatrist appointment was three months away, so I began my own search for answers.

I dove into neuroscience, functional medicine, and integrative psychiatry, and by the time my appointment arrived, my panic attacks were gone without daily medication. That turning point became my mission.

I later trained with Dr. James Greenblatt, one of the nation’s leading functional medicine psychiatrists, and expanded my knowledge by learning from the research and teachings of experts such as Dr. Daniel Amen and Dr. Andrew Huberman. Over the years, I developed The Grounded Approach™, a root-cause framework combining advanced lab testing, genetic insights, nervous system repair, and personalized psychiatry to help clients feel better for good.

Today, I work with people who feel stuck, numb, dismissed, or unsure where to turn, especially those wanting to safely reduce or stop medications. My goal is simple: help you feel like yourself again, clear, calm, and grounded.

I have been where you are, and I know how life-changing the right support can be.

When I’m not helping clients

I’m a neurodivergent soul who’s just as passionate about uncovering root causes in mental health as I am about chasing adventures. Outside of my practice, I love traveling the world, practicing Japanese, and letting house and techno music move me into pure joy. The gym is my therapy, nature is my recharge, and sleep is my sacred boundary. It’s how I protect my energy so I can show up fully for myself and the women I serve. For me, healing has never been just about science. It’s about living with curiosity, rhythm, movement, and deep rest.

Meet the Grounded Psychiatry Support Team

Tori Chimberoff

Registered Nurse

Tori is the dedicated concierge nurse supporting clients across the country, licensed in 45 states to bring high-touch, whole-person care wherever it’s needed. For clients who would like to add concierge text support to their wellness plan, Tori is the friendly face behind that service, just let your provider know, and she’ll be there to guide you along the way.

Outside of nursing, she’s happiest surrounded by animals, especially cows and her beloved dog Franklin. She also loves traveling, exploring new national parks, discovering coffee shops, enjoying live music, and spending time with family and friends. Whether she’s hiking through the mountains, planning her next trip, or simply enjoying a quiet morning with coffee, Tori brings a playful spirit and grounded joy to everything she does.

Her professional path is deeply personal. As a proudly neurodivergent nurse who has walked through and healed from her own mental health challenges, Tori brings a rare depth of empathy and understanding to the people she serves. She knows firsthand that healing is not always linear, and she uses that lived experience alongside her clinical excellence and dedication to root-cause care to create a safe, compassionate space where clients feel truly supported every step of the way. Clients often describe her as both nurturing and empowering, someone who can hold space with compassion while also encouraging growth and resilience.

CLIENT LOVE

“I came to Jessica after being frustrated with so many doctors pushing medication on me. I didn’t feel heard or understood and I wasn’t getting the results I wanted. That all changed when I was introduced to Jessica, one of the most compassionate practitioners I’ve ever met whose unique approach has supported my mental health in a way I didn’t know was possible. She has empowered me and guided me towards a healthier future for myself. Choosing to work with her was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.”
